9 Sox outs away (although the Rays still are up), reality is setting in once again. The Sox can and will fail miserably.
Only silver lining: bandwagon fans leave in droves and stop infesting Fenway with their ignorant, arrive late-leave early, cellphone talking, and souvenir hoarding ways and skulk back to their McMansions and dorm rooms.
The real fans will suffer but abide.
