After we all settle down, we should realize Thursday was one game. There is no longer any margin for error.
Beckett is no longer "Beckett"
Papi is no longer "Papi"
With the exception of those late innings on Thursday, no one is hitting.
Sure there is momentum and the spirit of '04 and '07.
But there is still the ghosts of Dent, Buckner and Boone...
OK, I allow also for the ghosts of Fisk, Henderson and Schill, but still.
My head hurts. Just don't be surprised if they lose OK.
BTW I know they're not dead, ghosts is a literary allusion.
